BAF Donates Bus to Ewoma Isoko Association in DESOPADEC.

In continuation of its acclaimed philanthropic gestures as a cardinal focus, the Bashorun Askia Foundation (BAF) has donated an 18-seater bus to the Ewoma Isoko Association in DESOPADEC to facilitate the Association's logistics and mobility routine.

In a special presentation thereafter, of the bus by the leadership of the Ewoma Isoko Association in DESOPADEC to their Grand Patron, Odio Bashorun Askia Ogieh, who is also the Managing Director/CEO of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC and

Founder of the Bashorun Askia Foundation (BAF), the President of the Association, Comr. Mike Ohworakpo thanked the Odio for his continued and unfailing support to the Association and for his unalloyed service to the entire Isoko nation.

The President, Ewoma Isoko Association in DESOPADEC, Comr. Mike Ohworakpo, also took time to celebrate the Bashorun Askia Foundation for staying true to its avowed acts of philanthropy without borders.

Present at the formal presentation of the bus and thank you visit to the Grand Patron of the Ewoma Isoko Association in DESOPADEC, was the BOT Secretary and Legal Adviser to the Association, High Chief Barr. Godfrey Usele Agbama, who represented the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Association, Chief Dr. Moses Akwenuke.

He gave deserving plaudits to Bashorun Ogieh for the uncommon gift and continued show of love, praying for God's continuous grace and guidance for the Odio.

Responding, Bashorun Askia Ogieh thanked the Association for the initiative to appreciate the Foundation, stating that it was only privileged amongst the few in the society to exhibit such philanthropic acts in contemporary time.

The Uzere High Chief who made reference to the story in the holy scriptures where the Lord Jesus healed 10 lepers with only one of them coming back to say thank you, stated that appreciation was simply an application for more.

Commissioning the bus for use, Odio Bashorun Ogieh encouraged all to live in peace and unity, emphasizing that "when we are united, we will stand in strength to overcome all obstacles as a people".

Also present at the event were the Head, Community Development and Public Enlightenment, Hon. Ms. Flora Ubeku, the Chief Security Officer of DESOPADEC, Chief Lawrence Eduje, SA Technical to the MD/CEO - Barr. Zino Duku, the Association's Secretary - Engr. Ogheze Jacob and the Association's Speaker - Tony Egbo.
