Bashorun Askia Foundation Presents Food Items To Keke, Okada Riders, Non-indigenes. Featured

The Bashorun Askia Foundation has joined the league of philanthropic organisations that have showered love and care on the needy in the society in this period of Covid 19 lockdown.

Bashorun Askia Ogieh, the chairman of the Foundation and MD/CEO DESOPADEC, Thursday 23rd April, 2020, presented sundry food items to the Delta State Commercial Motorcycle (Okada) & Tricycle (Keke) Operators Association as well as Non-Indigenes in Isoko South and North LGAs to help cushion the

effect of the Lockdown caused by the Corona Virus Pandemic.

Speaking on behalf of the Okada and Keke riders, the Chairman of Isoko North Chapter of the Association, Comrade Aboma Victor expressed deep appreciation for the kind gesture while praying God to bless and protect Bashorun Ogieh.

The brief ceremony which was held at the Isoko Development Union (IDU) Secretariat, Oleh was witnessed by the President General of IDU, High Chief Iduh Amadhe, Isoko North LGA Council Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor, Isoko South LGA Council Chairman represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Mr. Obrogo Dennis Kola JP, Delta State House of Assembly Members, Hon. Ferguson Ajiroghene Onwo and Hon. Kenneth Ogba Isoko South Constituency 2 and 1 respectively.

In another development, the Foundation also presented bags of Rice, Cartons of Instant Noodles and Gallons of Vegetable Oil to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Isoko South and North LGAs chapters.

The items were received by The Bishop of Oleh Diocese, (Church of Nigeria- Anglican Communion) Rt. Rev. John Aruakpor, on behalf of the two chapters of CAN, after which the clergymen present at the event, offered prayers for the donor.

The President General of IDU, High Chief Iduh Amadhe on behalf of the Isoko People, thanked the Udu if Isoko nation for the kind gesture, praying God to replenish his pocket a million fold.
