DESOPADEC CHAIRMAN GIVES REPRIEVE TO SAPELE RESIDENTS

As part of measures to reduce the economic hardship on the citizens, due to the lockdown order by the Delta State Government, the Chairman of the Board of DESOPADEC, Hon. Michael Diden, has dolled out cash gifts, bags of rice and instant noodles to Sapele residents.

The lockdown taking effect from Wednesday April 1, 2020, will run for

two weeks, in the first instance, as a way of combating the Corona virus pandemic currently ravaging the nations of the earth.

Presenting the items to the people, on behalf of the Chairman, Evangelist Mrs Mary Diden, wife of the Chairman said they decided to reach out to the people, as a way to alleviate the pains and economic hardship they were going through in the state now.

"My husband is a good man. He is the man of the people and loves giving to people. Some of the people here today don't have food to eat and we can't leave them like that so, we decided to give them these items to take care of their families. Our gate is always open for people to come in anytime," she said.

While admonishing the people to use the items judiciously, she advised them to adhere strictly to government directives, on how the virus can be curbed.

The elated recipients were all full of praises to the Chairman and his wife, praying God to continue to provide for them.
